University of Calabar All Stars is a body with the sole aim of projecting artistes in Unical to limelight. These artistes include musicians, comedians, dancers, presenters and any other talent exhibitors.
Before the formation of this body, it was difficult for Unical upcoming artistes to feature in campus events and this was because there was no forum for performing acts. One would need to know someone in the SUG or struggle to perform individually and this reduced the value of these artistes and erased the payment they (artistes) deserved.
When Usese, Williams Jeremiah emerged the Unical SUG Director of Socials 2012/2013, he proceeded in conveying the first meeting on Saturday, 23rd of March 2013 at love garden in Unical. This meeting was attended by Dj VickyJay, Koboko, Kelvinkul, MaryBen, V.Blaze, Swave, Lala Fresh, Base Boy, Akonzy, Orion, Oprizzy, Fly and Jbor. After two meetings, conventional suggestions were treated and the body resolved to bear UCAS (University of Calabar All Stars).
On Thurday, 13th of April 2013, the body was officially registered in Unical Students’ Affairs Division and was certified with legal right to operate on campus. Since then, members of UCAS have been participating actively in every campus event.
The affairs of this body has so far been piloted by Swave Fabian Philip Lex Exco (2013), Valentino Blaze Esiene Led Exco (2014) and Eke Great Led Exco (2015).
As the founder of this body, I publicly declare that hence forth, this body is independent and shall operate in accordance with her constitution.
