Following the wide spread rumour with regards to the outcome of the south south
and south east
youth summit held this week end at the cultural centre of calabar, where the SUG President of the
university of calabar, Comr. Ajang Emmanuel has been alleged to be given a million naira for the
students of UNICAL who took part in the rally.
The President in his reactions has urged malabites and malabreses and the general public to debunk
such allegations and propaganda, but should see it as an attempt by few to tarnished the image that
took him long to built.
He added that the money he was given, he had shared it all to the students who were at the rally.
when asked to disclosed the amount given to him,he refused, according to him for security reasons.
while some of the students has it that the President was given a million naira others said it was
200,000 while some said it was 300,000.
Meanwhile one of the presidential aid who spoke in anonymity disclosed to the press that the money
given to the president was in six digits and could not disclosed the exact figure for security reasons.
It could be recalled that it took the intervention of the school security to calmed the angry malabites
and malabresses who vowed to commit havoc for what they termed maximum cheat on them by the
SUG President, even when they were given one thousand naira each.
